Meditation Center
It is located outside Yangon on the way to Bago; it is a
newly built center in picturesque surroundings. It is founded by
Sayadaw U Maung Lwin, who is a layman and who has the
philosophy, that all human beings are equal and on the same
level. The teaching in the Theravada Buddhism is made on a level
so everybody can understand the teaching of the Buddha
Philosophy and lifestyle.
It is located on Thanlwin Road in Golden Valley Avenue, Bahan
Township. There, well qualified meditation teachers who can
speak English are giving training to the Meditation trainees in
this center.
Chan Myae Yeiktha Meditation Center is founded by one of the
International Theravada Buddhism leader Ashin Jannakkavivunssa.
It is located on the Kaba Aye Pagoda Road.

Information: Both men and women Yogis are being
provided with modern and traditional facilities in hostels.
Foreign Yogis who are practicing full-time vipassana meditation
must follow the rules and regulations. All meals (without
dinner) and accommodation costs are always free for all foreign
Yogis during the period of their stay and taking meditation at
the centre. Breakfast and lunch are served at the centre for the
vegetarian or non-vegetarian Yogis. Every Yogi must keep the
eight precepts
including
abstain from eating solid food after 12:00 noon. There will not
be any evening meal. However soft drinks are allowed. All Yogis
must keep the eight precepts during the period of their stay at
the Meditation Centre and these rules would be explained by the
meditation teachers. All Yogis would be guided and trained by
the meditation teachers throughout the course and be able to
learn the compulsory meditation knowledge and basic Buddhism. It
is comfortable to wear Myanmar longyis for both of men and women
Yogis in the period of the meditation in those meditation
centers.
